SUMMER 2010 SCORING.
INCOMPLETE
GAMES: all games use a minimum 63 minute running time total (3/21:00 minute periods). Some games will use as high as 25:00 minute periods. Any TIE game at the end of regulation will play a 5:00 running period of 4 vs 4 hockey. Any game thats within a 2 goal differntial will take on a stopped clock at 3:00 minutes remianing in regulation. If still tied - games end. Referee has the right to waive off unnecessary icings.
FIGHTING/PENALTIES: any player who recieves 3 minor penalties in 1 game is ejected. Players who receive 2 League Fighting Majors are given a Game Suspension the followning game (and we do keep track). If you dont have a C or an A on your jersey, dont argue with the Refs. We dont want our ice time wasted and they will call misconducts!
CAPTAINS: run your bench properly. This much is true: the best teams will again be the teams that manage a bench best: Shifts under 100 seconds & benches that utilize 9 fowards & 6 Defence when teams get all their players. teams that have 14 players on a given night for example & choose to run 10F & 4D will generally lose! Captains and Assistants set the tone. There are teams in this league that will crush you if your shifting 3-4 minutes per line & have no fluidity. This is not open hockey or pick up hockey: we all want to have fun and fun occurs easiest when all player are fair to everyones ice time. If run smoothly a team w/ 9 fowards will have all players hitting the ice every4- 5 minutes --same for D.
SUBS: Players are not authorized to send a sub if they know they will miss a game. Molson has 30 players who are prepaid subs who get first access to games when rostered player will not be in the line up. Molson is the only issuer of subs. If you know you will miss a game, please send an email alert to NHLQS@aol.com or text/ call the League cell phone: (917) 687-2289 on game day at the latest. Your efforts are appreciated and will only help your team.
